A PermaCrete matrix surface is a three-part cementitious-base surface which is applied by squeegee or spray hopper and then hand-troweled to a textured or lace finish providing lasting durability with an attractive and maintenance free surface. Two applications of Stain Sealer in one of over 170 standard colors is then applied to provide additional strength and continued protection for the base surface.
Surface
The texture of the finish enhances the resistance to slipping under normal usage and conditions. As with any surface, normal care to remove excess deposits of water, oil, grease or other contaminants should be regularly performed to provide the safest possible surface.
Evaluation
PermaCrete has been independently tested by a nationally-accepted, slip-resistant testing firm and has been rated at a static coefficient of friction of 56% higher when dry and 48% higher when wet than the minimum slip resistance required by the Federal Trade Commission for designation as a "Slip Resistant Surface". These tests were conducted in accordance with ASTM D2047 STANDARD TEST METHOD for static coefficient of friction issued by the Federal Trade Commission.
Usage
The surface finish of PermaCrete can be varied to meet the requirements of individual customers. The standard textured finish will provide an extremely safe surface while both enhancing the appearance and extending the life of the surface. Even a smooth finish designed to accommodate indoor maintenance in restaurants, hospitals and warehouses can provide a safe, slip-resistant surface if applied properly. Periodic cleaning and maintenance are easily accomplished with normal household detergents.
